"Exorcism for the Soul"
This is going to sound strange but artist are like plumbers, when you work on other people's toilets all week you don't want to come home and work on your own. That's the way I feel about art, I hardly ever paint anything for myself. This is the exception. Showing you this at the halfway point void of any details and mainly with just the large washes of color applied, you will be able to see how the whole picture comes together at the end. I was watching a documentary on "Jimi" and decided he would make a great person of interest to paint a portrait of. This painting will probably never be framed or shown, but it has definitely done it's job. Being able to use whatever colors, gadgets and mixture of styles I choose, and not having to follow the directions of a paying customer make this piece a release for myself. I know that I will have to go back to the real world once this is finished, but until then I am going to have fun. Enjoy!
