"Bar Design"
I am bringing you a different type of art today - a collage I designed and executed for a homeowner's bar. This is the center piece of that bar. I took a sheet of loose canvas and applied the black background to the whole piece. I then painted the white logo onto the canvas and burnt the edges to give it an old look. Then coffee was applied to yellow the whole canvas adding to the distressed theme. The next step was building the background board of tongue and groove wood pieces, again stained with coffee and assembled with brass tacks. Working on pieces such as this are a nice departure from painting, enabling me to work with items that I usually don't. I will be bringing you more of my furniture designs in the near future. Enjoy!
