"The Lookout"
I brought you the lion yesterday and here is his partner, the cheetah. This is another of the paintings in the attic graveyard. They were both painted at the same time and meant to be hung together. The painting yesterday dealt with a dark palette while this painting is bright and vibrant. When they were paired with each other they were definitely a focal point, and their scale and size made them easily the biggest object in the room. Acrylics were used on this as well and painted on gessoed board. When I started painting for the public I always thought the bigger the better and that the customer got a better deal for their money. I have since changed my direction and usually paint in a smaller scale, quantity doesn't always equal quality. I may from time to time visit the graveyard again and bring some of the older paintings back to life, not to hang, but just share with my readers. Hope you Enjoy!
