"Willie and Friends"

Many years ago, BK (Before Kids) I had a friend who had a friend who had a contact at this record label, who needed a painting for an album sleeve for Willie Nelson. I was asked to submit a piece of art for that sleeve and I had total control over the piece. I also had a friend that was a photographer and had just spent time on the set of Willie's movie "Honeysuckle Rose". Floyd Tolston, the photographer, had many photographs and this is the one that I chose to paint from. If you look close enough in the mirror lens of the sunshades you will see Floyd himself. Long story short I did make it to the final two and got to go to a few record label meetings and doings and then was NOT chosen. I decided after keeping the painting for some time that I would give it to Floyd. That has been awhile ago, I don't know if he even still has it, but it was fun to work on and was about the closest to national exposure as I have ever been. I included it today just to walk down memory lane, I hope everyone enjoys.
