We keep rolling along with another painting in the "Wildlife Series". This particular piece was painted from a photograph that I took at a spot near my home that is a high fenced animal sanctuary called the "Longhorn Ranch". For many years this ranch had many exotic animals that were imported and raised here as well as a very large collection of "Longhorns" hence the name. I spent many nights camping out on the property, fishing in the many lakes, taking tons of photographs and just having an all around great time. These animals that you see here run in herds and are very fast, to take this picture I actually had to wait in hiding and use a telephoto lens. The "Longhorn Ranch" is gone now, sold and broken into smaller parcels of land but the memories for me will always last. This painting is available at my online gallery. To access the gallery the link is across from this article at the top left hand corner. Just double click and you will be there.
