I thought this was the perfect painting to post today, being that it is a snow scene and we are in the midst of the "Blizzard of 2011". This is the next piece in the "Wildlife Series" and is in my personal collection. The original is watercolor and pencil on 500 lb. D'Arches hot press watercolor paper. When I painted the painting it was for a customer that had already purchased many of my paintings, and after delivering the piece I had second thoughts. I then repurchased the painting and have enjoyed it every since. Some pieces that you paint are easy to give up - more like a labor of love that you want to release. Then others are never meant to leave. I hope you like this painting and also if you are near me in Texas - stay safe today and enjoy the snow.
