I have always been fascinated with photos and paintings of clouds and sky. The colors are usually so intense and varied that it holds the viewers eye for long periods of time. The movement and vast space are amazing. This piece was painted from a photo that was taken from my back porch and then the other items were added to lend depth and to showcase the wildflowers that grow in the area. Ennis, my hometown, is famous for the bluebonnets that grow here, but at certain times of the year there are many different flowers that grow wild in the fields surrounding my house. I hope that I captured the moment as it was with my rendition here and also bring the viewer, you, into my vision. Enjoy!
