We start making some great strides in the direction that we want our painting to take. I have blocked in another hue on the basis of the hair, we will be building many layers as we go, enabling us to get the look that we are after. The darks under the chin, the mouth area and the hands are also layed at this time. The color that you see applied to the eye area is really not needed, I just sometime have to see if this is the path that I believe the painting should be following and decisions for later in the project can be made or changed. You need to pick your background color at this time as well so that we can apply the initial color wash and start building subsequent washes on top so that the depth is there when we are finished. After applying these washes I would erase as much pencil lines as you are comfortable with, the longer you leave them the harder they are to remove. Get to this point because tomorrow we fly. Enjoy!
