"New Project"

The photograph you see here is one that my son Casey took following a storm that passed over our house. The sky was vibrant and full of color and the clouds stretched all the way across the horizon. Blues, pinks and purple were abundant with a hint of bright white from the sun. This is my next project and it will be a triptych - three panels of the same painting side by side. In the past I have painted these kinds of pieces and the challenge is to have the continuity that is so important from canvas to canvas. I don't usually paint pieces like this because of the lack of a central figure and really the lack of any significant details, but this should be fun and the color choices will be tough. I hope to show you step by step photos of this piece in progress. Enjoy!
