This "Art Director" job is easy when you have an artist that works this hard. Casey's vision of the final piece, "The Alamo" was pretty much spot on with the vision I had as well. It didn't matter what I thought, it was his project, but when someone's thoughts align with yours it is a pretty special moment. I would like to say something about the supplies he used as well. When doing school projects, students usually work on common poster board - this drawing was done on illustration board with artist pencils. The finished product is so much better - colors more vibrant and they lay down better on the illustration board. I know this seems like a trivial point, but it's just one more way to get a leg up on the competition. I don't know what grade he will receive on this project, but in my mind it is definitely an "A". We will be back tomorrow with our joint project, so be ready to paint. Enjoy!
