"Harley-Man"

Well I can't believe I am putting this on my blog, but here it is. This is my kids dog, the infamous "Harley". I did this quick portrait for my daughter to take with her when she went off to college because she was missing him so much. I would have much rather her taken the dog than the portrait! This miniature beagle has the life of Riley. He has his own bed, his own box of toys, and his own schedule. Everyone else in the household must adapt to him, he doesn't stray from his "norm". I knew when we got this dog that he was going to be nothing but trouble. My kids found an ad in the local paper, called and bought the dog sight unseen. Then we drove on a saturday night for 3 hours, one way, just to go get this dog (what was I thinkin'?). Before the dog was purchased I was guaranteed that I would have none of the hassle of taking care of another pet, since I was already stuck with 2 big outside dogs that were the kids responsibility, but somehow wound up mine. One thing I forgot to tell you was that we got this dog 1 week before school started back and that was the best week of my time with Harley. Once school started he has been my responsibility ever since, like the postal service, rain, sleet, snow or shine. It doesn't look like this is going to change anytime soon. Thanks for listening to the rant and I will see you tomorrow!
