Out of the Box
Don't worry this piece will never see the light of day, but it was a lot of fun to paint. The subject matter was a real old photograph taken in sepia print that I decided needed to be jazzed up and brought into the 21st century. Painted in neon dyes and with the airbrush the painting takes on a electric look that can only be obtained with these tools. I also rendered this subject with old fashioned watercolors and with a more subdued palette that you will probably get a glimpse of in the near future. The "Wildlife Series" is almost complete and we will be cranking up our next round of paintings in the near future. I am still waiting for my first "guest" artist to exhibit their work on my blog. That first artist may well be close to home and coming very soon. Stay tuned and find out who it is. You may have also noticed that we added more gallery locations to the top of the blog on the left side. These locations may be viewed by just clicking on the site and going to the gallery and putting in my name. I have been asked to show on more sites than just our gallery, Full Contact Art Gallery and will be loading in the next couple of days. Thanks for following the blog and please leave your comments, that's the only way we get better.
