"Back Porch Beauty"

It's not often that a subject hits so close to home. This "Hibiscus" was a project of my wife's. She grew this plant on our back porch, it was a miracle that it lived long enough for a photo to be taken. Plants tend to die around here from the heat, the dogs (we have three) or just all around neglect. Anyway, this hardy specimen grew and grew and when it was time to take the photo we took plenty. I chose the one I liked and this was the first in a series of four (4) paintings that I did that were done as a set. Four color schemes make up the series: orange, yellow, purple and white. They were originally painted to be printed as a package, but the painting you see here is the only one that has gone to print as of this time. It is available as a signed and numbered limited edition print and can be found at the bottome of this page for sale. I hope to have the remaining three for you to view very shortly and to also have them available for purchase. Enjoy and we will see you tomorrow!
